G8 SUMMITS - PEAK 336454
Distance 5.1 km return, height gain 902 m, strenuous
The twin-headed mountain overlooking Kananaskis Village at 336454 is named in honour of the G8 Summit held at Kananaskis Village in June of 2002. All in all, a very enjoyable route you'll want to do more than once.
Start: Hwy. 40 (Kananaskis Trail). About 200 m north of the Kananaskis Village/Nakiska Ski Area junction, park at the side of the hwy.
Difficulty: Easy scramble
Note: Getting to the lower summit is not as easy as it looks. Expect loose, awkward scrambling down to the saddle.
