BOW VALLEY PROVINCIAL PARK LOOP
Distance 8.7 km return, height gain 156 m, fairly easy
An amalgamation of six interpretive trails wanders through a varied landscape of moraines, riversides and lakeshore in a kaleidoscope of pine forest and dry meadows. Flowers are spectacular around late June-early July. Picnic tables, benches and biffies all the way around.
Start: The Trans-Canada Hwy. (Hwy. 1) at the Seebe interchange. Turn off onto Hwy. 1X. Turn first left onto the park road. Drive past the visitor centre to Middle Lake parking lot.
Difficulty: Easy, well-marked trails with a few short hills.
