Distance 2.3 km return, height gain 160 m, fairly easy
Between Marmot Basin Road and Troll Falls trail, Marmot Creek skips and plunges its way down the hillside to its ultimate drop-off at Troll Falls. It's a gorgeous piece of water to be savoured by all waterfall lovers, at its best during snowmelt or after a week's rain.
Start: Via #19 Troll Falls loop. Look for a trail to the right about 140 m up the Troll Falls trail. Sometimes flagged.
Difficulty: It is steep in places and has rougher variations that are easy to stray onto when hiking the trail in the downward direction. Generallt keep as close to Marmot Creek as you can.
Note: Combine with Skogan Pass trail and Ruthie's to make a 5.4 km loop back to Stoney trail parking lot. The trail can be hiked in winter. Spikes recommended.
Please refer to the trail description in the guidebook, especially for unofficial, off-trail hikes.
