INVINCIBLE LAKE
Distance 15.4 km one way, height gain 814 m, strenuous
This is a strenuous haul up over a ridge into the secluded valley west of Mt. Invincible, which has no easy way in. The main objective is a gorgeous blue lake, but just as exciting are the alpine meadows under Mt. Warspite and a traverse of little Mt. Nomad.
Start: Kananaskis Lakes Trail (road) at North Interlakes parking lot
Difficulty: Strenuous. The secondary fire roads starting you off up the ridge have filled in and become single-track trails and have lots of deadfall.
Note: We have no information on the state of the trails once you leave the official trail around Upper Kananaskis Lake.
