MARUSHKA (SHARK) LAKE

A silky sheet of green water, Marushka Lake, lies in that strange valley between Tent Ridge and Mt. Shark. A popular excursion on snowshoes in winter.
Start: Hwy. 742 (Smith-Dorrien/Spray Trail). Turn west onto Mt. Shark Road.
Difficulty: Easy hiking on old roads ending with a short forest trail with step-over deadfall.
