SPARROWHAWK TARNS
Distance 11.4 km return, height gain 671 m, moderately strenuous
The head of Sparrowhawk Creek is wild, open country with at least 5 little paternoster tarns to delight in. Just don’t go in fall or you'll be disappointed.
Start: Hwy. 742 (Smith-Dorrien/Spray Trail) at Sparrowhawk day-use area.
Difficulty: Good trail all the way.
Note: The Sparrowhawk Tarns trail is in very good shape and was entirely unaffected by any flood damage. The first section of the trail was re-routed during the construction of High Rockies Trail
