MOUNT QUIRK
Distance 19.2 km return, height gain 502 m, moderate
The Quirk Mountain trail, a moderately easy forest trail with one really steep hill, follows the broad east ridge of the mountain to the summit where a great view await you.
Start: Hwy. 549 (McLean Creek Trail) at Fisher Creek West staging area. This is where a well road cum logging road heads west up Fisher Creek. On foot or bike, head west along the well road/logging road that is Fisher Trail West OHV trail up Fisher Creek to a Y-junction. See sketch map page 227.
Difficulty: Good OHV trails.
Note: It is no longer possible to drive the well road in a regular vehicle. You need a short wheelbase 4x4 to get over the initial bumps that have been built across the road.
  • The summit cairn, looking west.

Please refer to the trail description in the guidebook, especially for unofficial, off-trail hikes.
