ZEPHYR CREEK HILLS
Distance 19.3 km loop, height gain 1231 m, strenuous
This is a large rambling group of interconnected summits enclosed between Zephyr Creek, Bear Creek, Miller Creek and the Highwood River. The best option takes in South Limestone Ridge, then all the major tops along the main axis of the hills for 1231 m of height gain.
Start: Hwy. 541. Protective berms are being built (Sep 2016) at the old Sentinel day-use area and parking is difficult. You may be able to park just west of the work area.
Difficulty: Although there are game trails, much of the walking is off trail, so you need to be experienced navigators.
Note: See sketch map on page 55.
  • From top #3 to top #1 (right) and top #2.

Please refer to the trail description in the guidebook, especially for unofficial, off-trail hikes.
