LINEHAM RIDGE
Distance 13.6 km return, height gain 844 m, strenuous
This has become one of my favourite places in the Highwood despite that first foray in a fall blizzard. All along are fine vantage points from which to study the eastern cirques.
Start: Hwy. 40 (Kananaskis Trail) at Lineham Creek day-use area.
Difficulty: There’s now a good trail to treeline, after which you enjoy an easy-angled grass ridge with the added spice of rocky sections.
Note: For scramblers it gives access to “Lineham Peak,” Peak 593982 and the “Lineham Creek Peaks”

Please refer to the trail description in the guidebook, especially for unofficial, off-trail hikes.
