RUNNING RAIN LAKE
Distance 5.6 km return, height gain 184 m, fairly easy
Apart from the crossing of Storm Creek, this is an easy forest trail to . A popular fishing lake with cutthroat trout in a cirque below the Elk Range.
Start: Hwy. 40 (Kananaskis Trail ). Park 4.3 km south of Mount Lipsett day-use area in a parking area on the west side of the highway where the guard rail ends.
Difficulty: An easy forest trail.
Note: Since the 2013 flood, the trail has been re-routed with the result that the trail is a great deal better now than it was before!
