Distance 3.8 km backpack side trip, height gain 396 m, moderate
A lake of unusual depth and colour cradled between Mount McPhail and Horned Mountain is reached by a somewhat strenuous trail and an easy scramble up a headwall. Go in the early morning to catch the best light for photographs.

Difficulty: Good trails, then easy scrambling.
