STRAWBERRY HILLS
Distance 12.6 km loop, height gain 466 m, moderate
In between Fitzsimmons and Carnarvon creeks rise the Strawberry Hills, a group of summits centred about Strawberry Creek with three high points — south, north and west, separated one from the other by low cols traversed by the east leg of a logging road circling the west hill. Who can resist the lure of grassy slopes, limber pines and great views.
Start: Hwy. 40 (Kananaskis Trail) at Fitzsimmons day-use area.
Difficulty: Easy hiking on good trails.
