WINDY PEAK
Distance 11.9 km loop, height gain 634 m, moderately strenuous
This popular hike follows the main axis of the ridge over numerous tops to Windy Peak. While the going is easy and enjoyable on a good trail, the ridge is a mini roller coaster. For hikers who can navigate sans trails I recommend you return via the peak’s northwest ridge and the cutblock.
Start: Hwy. 532 (Johnson Creek Trail). At The Hump (pass). Park on the south side of the texas gate in a small parking area on the east side.
Difficulty: Easy hiking with trail most of the way.

Please refer to the trail description in the guidebook, especially for unofficial, off-trail hikes.
