Distance 11.0 km one way, height gain 570 m, moderate
The trail is mostly used by experienced backpackers doing a three-day trip incorporating Northover Ridge and Three Isle Lake. Scramblers/climbers use it as access to Mt. Joffre, Mt. Sarrail, Mt. Northover, Warrior Mountain and Mt. Cordonnier. Waterfall lovers can visit Fossil Falls without climbing the second headwall. Campers can explore a stack of places from the campground.
Start: Kananaskis Lakes Trail (road) at Upper Lake parking lots.
Difficulty: This trail is not for novices. It involves steep scree and a section of trail poised above cliffs.
Note: The trail around Hidden Lake has recently been re-aligned and deadfall removed and there is a new section of trail through the forest above lake.
