FLOWING WATER INTERPRETIVE TRAIL
Distance 1.8 km loop, height gain 21 m, easy
An interesting and varied walk in Bow Valey Provincial Park taking in the Kananaskis River, a grassy ridge, and wetlands with beaver ponds. Birders should look for warblers and flycatchers (including ovenbirds) in the willows of the swamp and rarities like the tailwagging eastern phoebe on Douglas fir branches overhanging the river.
Start: From Hwy. 1X, turn right into Willow Rock Campground. Park near the showers building.
Difficulty: Easy hiking on good trail
