Distance 22.2 km return, height gain 588 m, moderately strenuous
A beautiful backcountry lake. There is a campground with a calendar backdrop of peak 217373. Well worth the effort to get there.
Start: Ribbon Creek parking.
Difficulty: The initial trail is easy. However to get up from the falls to the lake requires you to climb a steep headwall using chains that can be difficult, even dangerous, for backpackers with heavy packs.
Note: If you wish to camp at Ribbon Lake consider taking easier routes: Buller Pass (#77) or Guinn’s Pass (#31).
