A forested loop that takes in some interesting historical features such as the Pocaterra Dam Penstock and the Kent Creek sluiceway, and provides nice views of the Opal Range.
Start: Canyon day use area parking
Difficulty: Easy snowshoeing on good trails.
Note: For a longer trip you can start from the Peter Lougheed Visitor Information Centre on the marked Canyon snowshoe trail. This will add 3.4 km and about 30 m of elevation gain.
