EVAN THOMAS WATERFALLS
Distance 7.7 km return, height gain 100 m, easy
An interesting trail to a number of spectacular ice falls decorating the great red cliffs along the west bank of the creek. First is Chantilly Falls, a popular beginner’s route with line-ups on weekends. Farther on is a trio of climbs: on the left the super impressive Moonlight (110 m high) then Snowline and 2 Low 4 Zero on the right.
Start: Hwy. 40 (Kananaskis Trail) at Evan-Thomas Creek parking lot.
Follow Evan-Thomas Creek trail to a junction at 1.6 km. Turn right onto Wedge Connector and descend to the bridge over Evan-Thomas Creek. The foot trail leaves the far side of the bridge and heads up Evan-Thomas Creek, following one bank or the other. See map
Difficulty: Easy via a flat trail usually beaten down by climbers and snowshoers.
Note: You can continue to follow a less good trail to the mouth of the canyon at 4.7 km. This is the end of the road for snowshoers.

Please refer to the trail description in the guidebook, especially for unofficial, off-trail hikes.
