MOOSE CREEK LOOP
Distance 2.8 km loop, height gain 30 m, easy
A former interpretive trail that can be walked separately or combined with Pine Woods Loop for a longer outing. The now shortened (due to 2013 flood) ltrail rambles through interesting mature forest. The eastern leg provides access to Tom Snow Trail south.
Start: Hwy. 68 (Sibbald Creek Trail). Follow the Forest Demonstration Road to Spruce Woods Day Use Area. The currently unsigned trail trail leaves on the righthand (west) side and leads through picnic sites and down to a new bridge across Jumpingpound Creek. See sketch map
Difficulty: Easy hiking on recently cleared trail.
