Three Isle Lake is the most popular overnight destination of all the trails radiating out from Upper Kananaskis Lake. Although you can hike there and back in one very long day, it is far better to backpack in to the campground for a long weekend and spend time looking around some fantastic high country.
Start: Kananaskis Lakes Trail (road) at North Interlakes parking lot.
Difficulty: The trail remains easy to the forks, then climbs steeply over a ridge to the lake.
Note: Some people camp at Forks campground and hike to both Three Isle Lake and North Kananaskis Pass from there.
