Distance 7.2 km loop, height gain 625 m, moderately strenuous
On topping out you'll be thrilled by the magnificent view of Spray Lakes Reservoir. To its left you can trace the route from Mt. Shark trailhead up Bryant Creek to Assiniboine, the great peak itself peeping over the top of Mt. Turner. Glittering like jewels in the dark forest are the lakes of Marushka and Watridge.
Start: Hwy. 742 (Smith-Dorrien/Spray Trail). Turn west onto Mt. Shark Road. In 1.8 km park in a small parking area on the right side of the road.
Difficulty: Moderate: a relentless uphill trudge using logging roads and a trail that climbs out of the trees onto an open ridge.

Please refer to the trail description in the guidebook, especially for unofficial, off-trail hikes.
