Distance 2.6 km return, height gain 122 m, easy
High Noon Hills refers to a wedge of land south of Hwy. 546 bounded to the east by the K Country boundary and to the west by Long Prairie Creek near its confluence with the Sheep River. Within it lies a couple of foothills at 785124 and 794124. Their grassy southwest-facing slopes shed snow early, so naturally they're good choices for early spring.
Start: Hwy. 546 (Sheep River Trail). From the K Country boundary drive for 1.9 km to near the top of the hill and park off-road on the verge
Difficulty: Easy hiking.
  • Above the frozen over Sheep River.

Please refer to the trail description in the guidebook, especially for unofficial, off-trail hikes.
