Distance 9.0 km loop, height gain 649 m, moderately strenuous
The grassy ridge with orange-weathered sandstones to the east of the valley makes an enjoyable circuit despite the connecting road walk. Some people like to reverse the route and get the road walk over with early in the day. Better still, takes bikes or a second vehicle
Start: Hwy. 40 (Kananaskis Trail). Park in a lay-by on the north side of the highway 7.8 km south of Mount Lipsett day-use area, 3.6 km north of Mist Creek day-use area.
Difficulty: Off-trail rocky ridge. Some navigation problem on the descent. See Map #4.
