Distance 1.8 km return, height gain 168 m, fairly easy
The best most popular half day trip in the area is a short, steep pull with a touch of scrambling onto a rocky ridge. It's not the top of anything, rather the dramatic south end of the Willow Creek Hills come to a full stop above Willow Creek bridge.
Start: 532 (Johnson Creek Trail). Park off-road 240 m east of Willow Creek bridge or thereabouts.
Difficulty: Easy scramble
Note: To make a longer day of it, you can extend the walk along the rest of Indian Graves Ridge and up to the well site at 872722, then return via #86 Well Road trail to Willow Creek – a loop distance of 8.8 km. Also works well in the opposite direction.

Please refer to the trail description in the guidebook, especially for unofficial, off-trail hikes.
