Distance 9.2 km return, height gain 150 m, fairly easy
The first 4.6 km of the trail up Ribbon Creek is a scenic winter walk or snowshoe depending on snow conditions. Beyond the normal end of trail (bike racks) you are in avalanche terrain.
Start: Ribbon Creek parking
Difficulty: Easy, with little height gain. One of the four new bridges has steps up to it, but they are wide enough to sidestep up on snowshoes. It is included in Easy Snowshoe Trails because it is easy and you only need go as far as you feel like.
Note: The trail is open to fat bikers. After about 2 km the trail is also used by cross country skiers. Don't be tempted to hike or snowshoe the cross country ski trail. Skiers descend the steep trail at high speed and would have difficulty avoiding you.
