Distance 15.2 km return, height gain 900 m, strenuous
Located In an attractive cirque cirque between mounts Allan and Collembola with larches and meadows. The ridge gives easy access to the Allan–Collembola col from where Mt. Collembola is easily climbed up grassy slopes.
Start: Hwy. 40 (Kananaskis Trail ). Turn off onto Mt. Allan Drive to Nakiska ski area. Park at the side of the road just before the locked summer gate.
Difficulty: A long, easy hike with substantial heigh gain up ski area access roads for the first 4 km. After leaving the access road the trail is getting overgrown (It was was flagged in 2019).
