Distance 10.0 km one way, height gain 619 m, moderately strenuous
One of the best ridge walks in the Canadian Rockies. An almost three-km long tightrope of scree poised between the neve of Northover Glacier, and scree slopes plunging over 1200 m, or nearly 5,000 ft. into Joffre Creek
Start: Aster Lake via #69 or Three Isle Lake via #71.
Difficulty: In places the ridge is narrow and airy. You need a reasonable head for heights. Wait for good conditions and pick a relatively calm day.
Note: Combine it with routes #69 and 71 (and even routes #72 and 73) to experience the best backpacking trip, not just in K Country, but in the whole of the Canadian Rockies.
