During the night of November 30th, 2021 a major gust front travelling a narrow path up the foothills of Kananaskis Country downed many thousands of trees. Thanks to West Bragg volunteer Alf Skrastins we have been kept informed of the shocking amount of deadfall the wind storm deposited over West Bragg trails.

There is a new winter horse, snowshoe and winter walking route from West Bragg parking lot up to and across the top of the cut blocks below Boundary Ridge to Iron Creek Valley which it follows to RR54.

In 2016, The Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association focused on upgrading existing trails, adding new winter trails and enhancing the visitor experience. Significant investment and actions by Alberta Parks/Government of Alberta resulted in a number of important enhancements to the 141.3 km trail network that offers opportunities for just about every type of non-motorized trail user!
